Dialysis machine dehydration pump
Dialysis Machine Dewatering Pump
The dewatering pump is a key component in the ultrafiltration system of amodialysis machine, primarily responsible for removing excess water from a patient's blood through controlled pressure differences to achieve fluid balance.
1. The ultrafiltration process on transmembrane pressure (TMP), the difference in pressure between the inside and outside of the dialyzer, which the dewatering pump precisely controls to regulate the of water removed.
The working principle of the dewatering pump is mainly based on the pressure regulation of the pump system over the dialysis fluid pathway. Common designs balanced chamber systems and duplex pump systems. The balanced chamber system comprises two chambers and multiple solenoid valves, each chamber containing a diaphragm. During operation, one chamber supplies fluid to the dialyzer while the other chamber simultaneously drains fluid, ensuring equal in-and-out volume, and maintaining stable ultrafiltration through the state switching the diaphragm movement.
2. The duplex pump system, on the other hand, employs a double-chamber plunger pump, where the pl alternately completes suction and discharge of fluid as it moves: during the supply, the left chamber sends dialysis fluid to the dialyzer, and the right chamber receives waste; during discharge, the operation is reversed, and the precise metering and flow control of the fluid are achieved through the rotation of the plunger.
The accuracy of ultrafiltration system is influenced by various factors, including manufacturing errors of equipment, accuracy of the scale, and variables during treatment (such as weight changes or leaks in the tubing.
2. The dialysis machine continuously monitors parameters such as pressure and flow rate through controlled sensing circuits and triggers alarms in case of anomalies, ensuring the safety of theewatering process.
